*gold filled - a material that is indistinguishable from gold to the eye, a type of thick-layer gold plating that is mechanically connected to the base metal (brass), 1/20 of the weight of the metal is pure gold, which is why the resulting price is higher. Although it can handle normal wear, sweat, etc., to maintain its durability and shine, I recommend taking it off for swimming and similar activities - you will extend the life of the jewelry.
